Rivers of London RPG: GM Clell Flint

GM Clell Flint will be running the urban fantasy investigation RPG Rivers of London every other Saturday from 5:00-8:00 beginning October 7th! Cost is $5 per session per seat.

This game is a good introduction to roleplaying if you want something different than your typical dungeon crawl but still want some magic. Set in Modern London and surrounding areas, the players will be either directly employed by the police, or official consultants to a special division of the London Police that is tasked with investigating crimes that may involve the supernatural, magic or extraordinary circumstances. All Players have the basic ability to sense Magic and casting basic spells is an option for starting characters. The game is based on the “Rivers of London” book series by Ben Aaronovitch, and uses a streamlined version of Chaosium’s BRP (Basic Roleplaying) system. Variations of this system are what is used in both Chaosium’s “Call of Cthulhu” and “Runequest” RPGs. The initial session will be using pre-generated characters and the starting adventure in the rulebook unless the majority of players want to create their own characters right from the start. No prior knowledge of the books this game is based, on or the game system is needed.
